UK Choir Festival 2017

After discussion at the practice session on Feb 28 we have registered an initial eight places for the UK Choir Festival in Manchester.
Now that we have reserved our place as a chorus we can purchase more individual places for anybody else who would like to go.
The festival takes place over two days and we will be attending on the Sunday. The following is a brief summary of the day:
09:00 – Registration
09:30 – Welcome
09:45 – 30 minute warm up
10:15 – Breathing techniques (includes learning a new piece)
11:05 – 25 minute break
11:30 – Connecting emotionally with the music
12:20 – Lunch (I think we will have to pay)
13:20 – Varying your voice to suit different music styles
14:10 – 10 minute break
14:20 – Adding movement to the music
15:10 – Performance rehearsal
16:00 – Performances
17:30 – Finish

Launched in 2016, The UK Choir Festival is a festival aimed to support, train and bring together choirs from all over the UK in a beautiful setting where people can learn, develop and thrive.
Produced by Producer & Musical Director, Russell Scott, the festival is designed for choirs of all abilities, ages and style, no matter whether you are a local community choir, a cappella choir, school or university choir, gospel choir, choral society or barbershop choir.
The UK Choir festival is produced to give choirs the opportunity to be taught by some of the top workshop leaders in the UK.
The UK Choir Festival promises to be exciting, informative, collaborative and culminates each day in an opportunity for each choir to perform on stage.
