Learn To Sing In Harmony – March update

Wayfarers Learn To Sing CourseWith less than a month to go until the start of our course interest is keen and places are quickly filling.

Although the Wayfarers Chorus is based near Southport we appear to be attracting interest from far and wide and one of our course students has actually just moved into the area from the other side of the Atlantic!  Maybe that wasn’t just for the course though.

During the course, which takes place over four Tuesday evenings starting 10 April, our students will learn a number of vocal and breathing exercises and put them to good use in learning two songs, which they will have the opportunity to sing with the chorus.

No previous singing experience is necessary and neither is the ability to read music.  Many of the chorus members learn by listening to their vocal part on special ‘Teach Tracks’, which play the specified voice part through one speaker and the remaining voice parts through the other.  This method is very effective as, by adjusting the speaker balance, you can choose to listen only to the specific part, only the other three parts or the full quartet.  Listening to the other three parts is a good way to find out how well you have learned your own part.

If you haven’t signed up for the course yet and would like to join us, head over to the Learn To Sing page and fill in the registration form.

If you would like more information before registering, send your request on our contact form and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
