Our Nominated Charity – SUAG

Starting in 2024, the Wayfarers’ nominated charity is the Southport Spinal Unit Action Group (SUAG)

Since 1973, SUAG has been helping patients of the North West Regional Spinal Ijuries Centre, in Southport. After much fund-raising, they were able to purchase a property, in Birkdale, in 1985. This property has been turned into an independent living home for number of discharged patients, offering places for 10 permanent residents together with short term respite accommodation.

The Wayfarers are pleased to be able to support this charity, through donations and participation in fund raising events.
