MIB sing-out at Victoria Hotel
There was a good turn out for the Men In Black performance at the Victoria Hotel in Waterloo, with a total of 16 chorus members and a good number of loyal friends and family. At one point it looked as if we would be our own audience, but by the time we were due to perform our first set there were a reasonable number of people in the bar.
With that many people singing, a conductor was essential and Colin Whittaker stepped up to the plate. Gerry Smith was his usual ‘charming’ self announcing the songs and using plenty of artistic licence.
We performed two sets, but decided the first performance of Danny Boy deserved to be reserved for a full chorus event. The songs were well received by the audience and we received a donation for our charity fund.
